He is Chair of the ASCE/SEI Fire Protection Committee, Expert Panel Member for NIST’s full-scale structural fire testing program, and Past President of the SFPE New England Chapter. He is also a member of the ASCE/SEI Structural Design for Fire Conditions Standards Committee, the SFPE Standards Making Committee on Fire Exposures to Structures, and the SFPE Standards Making Committee on Predicting the Thermal Performance of Fire Resistive Assemblies. He is the recipient of the 2007 SFPE Student Scholar Award and the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Stephen Salisbury Prize in 2006.
