is not always easy, with various methods of testing used and access often problematic. This can lead to testing being carried out separately from the main system, which lengthens the site visit and leads to greater disruption. Solo 365, the innovative new smoke detector, has changed this view with the recent addition of a new accessory.
Already a hit with fire professionals worldwide, thanks to its range of unique features, Solo 365 has now grown further in popularity with the addition of a specialist new adaptor. Fitted directly to the top of the tester, in place of the regular clear cup used for testing smoke detectors, the adaptor is designed to fit around the aspirating pipe and allow smoke to be directed into the pipe via an accessible sampling hole.
This new accessory puts, for the first time, the ability to test standard point type smoke detectors and ASD systems into one portable tester.
The launch of the ASD adaptor for Solo 365 complements the Scorpion solution, also available from Detectortesters, which is perfect for testing ASD systems installed beyond the reach of the Solo access poles. Scorpion itself has recently experienced a rise in demand, sparked by the approval of leading ASD system manufacturers and a general increase in the number of aspirating smoke detection systems installed.
With its biggest ever portfolio of test solutions now available, Detectortesters will be presenting its latest innovations at this month’s Security Essen. As well as the new products on display, the company’s stand will also feature all products for the industry leading Solo range, the all-in-one tester for multi-sensor detectors – Testifire and the exciting range of new Urban Kits designed for fire engineers working on large sites and built-up areas.
