FlameSpec: A Leader in Flame Detection
The FlameSpec line of flame detectors, now manufactured under the “Saudi Made” initiative, has set new benchmarks in the industry. Since its founding in 2017, Fire & Gas Detection Technologies has prioritized innovation. Global Reach and Growth
FGD has experienced rapid growth, particularly in the Americas and Europe, and is now recognized as a top-performing flame detector brand in these markets. To enhance its presence in the Middle East and South Asia, FGD opened its first international branch in Abu Dhabi in November 2024. Even before this expansion, FGD was working to secure vendor approvals from major energy companies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This effort culminated in July of this year when FGD achieved Approved Manufacturer status with both Saudi Aramco and ADNOC. These companies were drawn to FGD’s innovations, including ultra-fast fire response times, improved false alarm rejection, and an integrated video camera feature that improves alarm response and incident recording. The availability of immediate video evidence following incidents helps clients maintain operational continuity and can lead to reduced insurance premiums.
Manufacturing Partnership in Saudi Arabia
Furthering its commitment to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 program, FGD has partnered with a local company, Binzagr for Industry and Maintenance (BFIM), to manufacture products within the Kingdom. BFIM, with over 30 years of experience in Industrial supplies and services and more recently flame and gas detection has a history as a 9com approved supplier. BFIM has collaborated with FGD to upgrade its Jubail manufacturing facility to meet electronics production standards. This included adopting FGD’s operating procedures and quality standards. Earlier this year, the BFIM site was added to FGD Anaheim’s FM Manufacturing certificate, and in August, BFIM was confirmed as a 9com provider for flame detection. Together, FGD and BFIM became the first to manufacturer of flame detectors domestically in Saudi Arabia and can now provide a product that enhances a company’s IKTVA score leading to improved competitiveness and helps to achieve the Vision 2030 goals
