UK fire protection equipment and hazardous gas detection equipment manufacturer Landon Kingsway has been acquired by MWA Technology, a UK stockist of metering solutions for various industries.
The purchase will now add even more products to MWA’s vast range already on offer. The next chapter for Landon Kingsway begins under the leadership of MWA, and what will hopefully be the beginning of an exciting time for both companies.
“MWA will bring an expansion in resources, stock levels and onsite services, as well as more experience and suppliers for Landon Kingsway’s customer base,” said Martin Wardell, MWA Managing Director.
“We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Landon Kingsway.”
MWA aim to have stock ready to be distributed as soon as possible.
History of Landon Kingsway
After being established by Mr Landon and Mr Kingsway over 60 years ago, Landon Kingsway was purchased by Alexander Controls (Alcon), which became a subsidiary of Concentric Controls.
The Landon Kingsway and Alcon names have seen many owners; International Motion Control (IMC) purchased the divisions from Concentric Controls before IMC was acquired by the ITT Corporation in 2007. In 2011, ITT split its organisation into three divisions, with Landon Kingsway and Alcon falling under the Xylem name.
Three years later, Landon Kingsway and Alcon became part of Rotork, an LSE traded company manufacturing flow control products, instrumentation and ancillaries, following its purchase of Xylem Flow Control.
Now the next chapter for the manufacturer begins under the leadership of MWA, and what will hopefully be the beginning of an exciting time for both companies.
