The UK’s Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) has published three new guidance notes. ASFP Advisory Note Six addresses the use of firestopping components from different manufacturers/systems; Advisory Note Seven covers horizontal linear gap seals used in curtain walling systems; and Advisory Note Eight considers issues surrounding service support centres. All of these notes can be downloaded free of charge from the ASFP website at www.asfp.org.uk/.
The Association of Specialist Fire Protection fosters the education and training of all those involved in the development, specification and use of passive fire protection. The new advisory notes have been published to assist in promoting excellence in the design and installation of fire protection products through high quality and technical expertise and are aimed at specifiers and installation contractors.
