Three Victaulic products have been selected as winners in Consulting-Specifying Engineer (CSE) magazines 2018 Product of the Year Awards contest. There were over 70 product finalists in 12 categories. Victaulic took home gold, silver and bronze in three separate categories respectively: Plumbing & Water Management, Software: Design, Modeling Analysis and Fire, Life Safety, Mass Notification category.
In 2017, Victaulic announced the launch of its FireLock™ Innovative Groove System | IGS™ for 1-inch fire protection piping that was voted Bronze in the Fire, Life Safety, Mass Notification category. The line includes Installation-Ready™ fittings, an Installation-Ready™ Rigid Coupling, branch line outlets and adaptors, as well as the VicFlex™ Series AH2-CC Braided Hose and the RG2100 Roll Grooving Tool. The RG2100 Roll Grooving Tool is a first-of-its-kind, forming a Victaulic IGS groove into either Schedules 10 or 40 1-inch pipe. These products include a new, patented IGS groove specification optimized for 1-inch pipe, cULus and FM Approved for service up to 365 psi. “The same reliability, ease of installation and confidence our customers have come to expect from Victaulic and its grooved solutions is now being offered for 1-inch piping on projects,” said Susan Schierwagen, Victaulic’s Vice President, Product Development – Fire Protection. “With the introduction of the FireLock™ IGS™ line, we’re simplifying installation with a solution that is faster, cleaner and more reliable than traditional threading.” The IGS™ line of products simplify small diameter projects, make solutions more efficient and create cleaner, safer jobsites for customers.
Victaulic also released updates for Victaulic Tools for Revit® 2019 that won the Silver award in the Software: Design, Modeling Analysis category. The key features include an assembly manager, allowing easier interaction with assemblies and notifications on altered items, continuous spooling, a leveler and any connect tool, making connection simple in any view.
In 2017, Victaulic launched the industry’s first grooved piping system designed specifically for chlorinated polyvinyl chloride/polyvinyl chloride (CPVC/PVC) pipe and earned the Gold award in the Plumbing & Water Management category. Created for use on Schedules 40 and 80 CPVC and PVC pipe, the system includes a line of Installation-Ready™ couplings, fittings and preparation tools. Victaulic’s solution offers the fastest, cleanest installation method for CPVC/PVC pipe and eliminates issues associated with traditional joining methods.
