Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 19 October 2026: Messe Frankfurt Saudi Arabia, organiser of Intersec Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom’s leading
platform for security, safety, and fire protection, has announced the postponement of the upcoming edition to October 2027.
The decision follows close monitoring of recent developments in Saudi
Arabia and was taken in coordination with the venue, the local government partners, and the event’s local and international stakeholders. The postponement prioritises the safety and security of exhibitors, visitors, partners, suppliers, and staff, while aiming to preserve the international scale, high-calibre attendance, and market value for which the Intersec Saudi Arabia brand is recognised.
Riham Sedik, Show Director, Intersec Saudi Arabia, at Messe Frankfurt Middle East (MFME), commented: “This decision is a result of a careful review of the current situation and one that puts the safety and wellbeing of customers, partners, attendees, and teams first. Since 2019, Intersec Saudi Arabia has strengthened its position as a flagship platform connecting the global security, safety, and fire protection ecosystem in the Kingdom.
“Our commitment will always be to bring the industry together in a safe, accessible, and commercially valuable way, working closely with local authorities and partners. With the event only weeks away, the postponement will allow us to deliver the strongest possible experience for all participants next year.”
Intersec Saudi Arabia plays an important role in convening the public and private sectors, service providers, and buyers from across some of the world’s fastest-growing markets. Nathan Waugh, Portfolio Director for Security, Technology, and Production, at MFME, added: “While continuing to support our people, customers, and partners in Saudi Arabia, we remain equally committed to the international community that has supported the show over the years. Our focus is now on returning with an impactful event in 2027, reflecting the ambition of the Saudi market and the strength of the global Intersec brand.”
Messe Frankfurt Saudi Arabia and Intersec Saudi Arabia will continue to invest in the long-term development of the show and support the growth of the security, safety, and fire protection sectors in the Kingdom, in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
Preparations are now focused on the exhibition’s return to Riyadh in October 2027. Further updates will be shared through Intersec Saudi Arabia’s official channels; please visit Intersec Saudi Arabia’s website.
