A fire in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi last Monday threated the nearby children’s hospital.
The fire that engulfed at least 20 households in central Hanoi destroyed many residences total wealth. Luckily there were no injuries or deaths reported, unlike a fire earlier this year that killed 13 people. However, police and firefighters said they were not yet able to confirm any casualties as they battled the fire.
The hospital evacuated some patients as the fire came closer and some had to be moved because the power was cut during the fire.
The fire service had a large contingent on the scene with flames reported to be 50 meters in the air and the smoke plume could be seen for many kilometres.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
