Consilium Safety Group, a global leader in fire, flame, and gas safety solutions, announced today that it has agreed to acquire ISE (“Ingegneria dei Sistemi elettronici”). ISE is an Italian industry specialist in customisable “SIL 2” fire safety solutions for the rolling stock industry. The agreement is subject to regulatory approvals.
“I am both excited and proud that ISE is joining Consilium,” says Philip Isell Lind af Hageby, CEO of Consilium Safety Group. “This acquisition aligns perfectly with our Safety Tech leadership strategy. It strengthens our innovation capabilities and expertise in advanced rolling stock safety technologies certified to operate in the most regulated and demanding environments in global rolling stock, while significantly broadening our market reach. Moreover, it underscores our unwavering commitment to enhancing customer value while protecting lives, values and the planet.”
With three decades of experience in railway systems and over fifteen years in fire safety, ISE is renowned for its state-of-the-art “SIL-2”* solutions for rail safety fire protection. The company’s offering includes fire detection technologies and advanced systems that control solutions such as suppression and other mission-critical functions, thereby setting the highest standard for
safety in the rolling stock sector.
Welcoming the partnership, ISE’s CEO Daniele Bianchi states, “By combining our forces, we will provide a comprehensive safety solutions portfolio to our customers, unlocking additional resources and expertise to enhance greater safety for passengers, crew, and assets. Consilium’s global reputation and worldwide aftermarket coverage, with its presence in over 55 countries, will enable us to reach even more customers globally. This is a fulfilment of our long-held aspiration at ISE.”
“ISE has been a long-standing partner of Consilium, and we have already integrated our smoke, heat and flame detection technologies into their systems. This acquisition enables us both to continue expanding together within the attractive rolling stock customer segment, while also opening opportunities for further expansion within other customer segments, such as new energy and wind power.”, adds Philip Isell Lind af Hageby.
